Major Stephen Case, CD, OCT
Major Case has been an active member of the Canadian Forces reserves in the Cadet Instructor Cadre for more than 20 years. He has served in a variety of roles at local units as well as with the area detachment and region. He has produced recruiting and informational videos for the program and has written articles for Cadence National Magazine on topics of leadership, ethics and conflict resolution.
Major Case has been a Commanding Officer of multiple squadrons and has acted as an Regional Advisor in the Central Ontario Area. He has worked with RCIS to deliver the Commanding Officers' course to officers designated to take on the role of CO. He served as the area liaison officer for the Denison armoury where he represented the needs and the goals of the Navy, Army and Air units that were relocated to the new facilities. Major Case has developed SCUBA and Aikido programs specific to the Canadian Cadet Movement and continues to work with young people, encouraging them to learn, to serve and to advance.
In August of 2014, Major Case was appointed to a second term as a Regional Cadet Advisor for Central Ontario Area.
Major Case has degrees in Philosophy and Education. Throughout his civilian career, he has been a strong advocate of integrating technology in education and innovational leadership with a goal of inspiring children and adults to reach their full learning potential. He has taught youth at the Toronto District School Board and educators a the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. He currently serves in education administration at the Simcoe County District School Board.
Major Case was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration in 2006, the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 and the Canadian Forces Decoration Clasp in 2016..
